What is a Bad Girl?

Some of us were born bad. Others learned the art.
 A Bad Girl is always happy to help a good friend go bad.

A Bad Girl is never a good girl at heart,
although she probably has a heart of gold.

A bad girl says what she thinks, but she thinks about what she says.
Being a Bad Girl doesn't mean being hateful.

Bad Girls don't make excuses.
We apologize instead, but only if we are sincere.

Bad girls are funny . We can laugh at ourselves but we wont laugh at you.
Even if you deserve it.

Bad girls are kind without being sugar-coated.
We are sweet but not sappy. Bad Girls believe in being feminine without the fluff.

Bad girls are a tolerant bunch, as long as you don't expect them to tolerate anything that insults their intelligence or goes against their moral code.

Bad Girls have very high standards,
but they love you even if you sometimes fall short.

Bad Girls tell the truth and expect you to do the same.

A Bad Girl stands up for what she knows in her heart to be right,
whether or not her opinion is popular.

Bad Girls are independent. We are wise. We are loving.
We forgive. We are strong. We speak our minds. We think. We grow.
 We feel. And we're not afraid to be strong.

Most of all bad girls are smart. Very smart.

The Creed

Rejoice in our commonality. Women from all parts of the globe, reaching out to join with others. Celebrate the world wide web, and the opportunities it opens to us, the free exchange of information at our fingertips. Understand that we are diverse, of different cultures, colors, religions, educations, economic backgrounds and creeds. Regardless of our differences, we must be able to freely discuss, and if needed, to agree to disagree, without repercussions. Womanhood is our common bond.

Always remember that words, once spoken, cannot be silenced. They will forever be etched in the memory of the receiver. We speak here without the benefit of seeing the smile, or reading the body language that accompanies the printed word. Choose your words appropriately.

As we grow, it is our deepest hope that we will enhance the lives of all who visit here, leaving each soul we touch better for the exchange. May our words gladden a heart, lighten a load or answer a question.

Listen to your inner voice, follow your intuition. If something feels right, it probably is, and if it feels wrong, take some time to think it through. The Bad Girls, the Coffee House, and the Basement will be here when you have "figured it out". Keep an open mind, and perhaps teach something to some, and learn from others.

The greatest gift one can give is a the gift of self. Reach out to those in need, whether it is to direct them to needed information, or to just offer a kind word. Let us continue the time-honored tradition of women sharing with one another. What benefits one, benefits all.

Learn to trust, and more importantly, be trustworthy. Insure that each exchange here in this forum reflects the person you are, not what you think others want you to be. Feel free to speak, without fear of repercussions. It was written "to thine own self be true", great words, here and in your normal everyday life.

Each of us has, in our walk through life, at one time been branded a "Bad Girl". We have found that it usually resulted from disagreeing with someone who were, or thought they were in authority. Here we are who we are, women of the world, finding our way. We hope we can all find our way, together.

Queen for a Day

Everyone wants to be queen for a day.
We've seen that happen in the Bad Girl way.
We sit in the coffee house and chat all day long
Sharing laughter, tears, bitching or burst into song.

The board just gets bigger as everyone speaks
Some chat for hours, some just come in for a peek
We all greet the Royal Melmacian Queen
and say Hi to her court as soon as they're seen

As the day wears on, and board grows in count
The Bad Girls' tensions start to mount.
When will -C archive? when will she stop by?
So we post like mad and our fingers do fly

Oh, we try to stay calm, but we know that we can't
And all over the board, you'll hear Charna's Chant...
The board is taking forever to load
A few more posts and it will explode.

Then we post and our words just disappear
We all know that Charna is very, very near
We're ready to click, to be the first post.
The first one is Queen, and she is the host!

The excitement is awesome, it's just so much fun.
To see if today you will be the one.
The one to reign royally, to jump up and down.
